Comfortable Clothing In Hot Weather

When it’s hot outside it can be a pain to try and figure out what to wear - especially if you’re going to be out and about all day long with lots of things to do. You need clothing that is going to be comfortable and allow you lots of easy movement and flexibility as well as keep you cool and look adorable. Most places with hot weather aren’t known for using a lot of fabric in their clothing for obvious reasons which also means that whatever clothing you choose you also want it to look good on you and work for whatever style you prefer as well as what you’ll be spending your time doing.

When choosing clothing to keep you comfortable in hot weather you want to use a lot of light breathable fabrics that will still keep moisture away from you while also being very open and not constricting any of your movement or hugging your form too tightly. There’s nothing worse in immense heat then having a bunch of clothes that stick to your skin and won’t let go because this traps a lot of heat and keeps it close to your body which can make your summer days a lot less enjoyable.

Usually polyester and synthetic fabrics do a good job of this but if you’re layering your clothing (like wearing a wet suit or a swim suit underneath street clothes) then you’ll want more of a breathable fabric like cotton to have on top. In summer heat you should also be aware that darker colors will attract more heat so you don’t want to walk around wearing black and brown all day because you’ll get hot even faster than normal. However bright white clothes can reflect sunlight which can increase the likelihood of getting a sunburn so it’s best to stick with earth tones that are close to your own skin color which allows you to avoid getting too hot any quicker than you need to.

However you’re also going to want to choose some clothes that can protect your from the heat and from sunburns as well. Large rimmed hats and shawls or wraps that can be lightly draped over a swimsuit can go a long way to helping protect your skin and they can even help keep you cool and comfortable by providing some shade. If you’re out playing and having fun you probably want some clothes that are sturdy too and work well with your hobbies or interests. If you’re off rock climbing and mountain biking then you’ll definitely want some good shorts and hardy shoes that can handle that kind of adventure. Where as if you’re spending the day at the beach you’ll be more concerned with having clothes that are easy to change in and out of and work well on top of a swimsuit.

Both of these types of clothing need to be very flexible and easy to move in. You don’t want to be constricted by tight waistlines or fabric that is very form fitting. You also want to make sure that you don’t have twenty he with little zippers or button that can catch and either injure you or ruin your clothes. That can take the fun out of the day pretty quickly. So be sure to choose some clothes that will be comfortable and fun as well as a good fit for you summer time activities and you’ll be able to enjoy your day much more.
